Face it, we have been too lazy, too slow, too little belief in ourselves to do anything with our lives, and dang it, we don’t want anyone else to reach theirs either. If they do, it only makes it more apparent we gave up too soon, we didn’t try hard enough, or even at all.
Think about all the worthless crap you learned growing up in school. Think about all the things you WISH you would have been taught when you found yourself in the real world one day.
This “real life” knowledge is so valuable, and 100% MISSED by the school system.
I’m not sure there is anything more important than pouring into the next generation. I don’t know how else to look at it other than we all have a responsibility to teach, train, and equip today’s youth.
It’s time we stopped and smelled the roses. It’s time we slowed down a bit and watched the world around us. It’s time we took a bit more care and paid a bit more attention to the people we care most about. It’s time we took the time to stop, think, and ponder about life all its mysteries, and all its wonder.
Make sure that when you “make it count” you really are making it count.
What about relationships. What about kids, your spouse. So often I hear people justifying their sacrifice of time and relationships so they can “provide a good life.” for their loved ones.
