Everyday you are bombarded with SO MUCH.
Outside voices speaking into your life, into your heart.
So much… Too much…
Yes, all the “hyperconnected, super busy, get it all done so you can binge-watch Netflix every night” life is wonderful…
Oh wait, no it’s not. It’s not wonderful at all.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the technology we have today for the most part; the ability to connect, learn, teach, and “reach” like we never before is awesome, but it comes at a steep price.
It’s easy today to let all the crazy interactions, social media, demands on time actually come in and take over our lives, it happens with the best of intentions. One more activity for the kids, one more like, post, picture, or follow. One more show, YouTube, blog post, just one more…
One more, one more, one more, until there are literally “NO more” of yourself.
When’s the last time you took even one hour to stop and do nothing but think. No internet, no social media, no distractions. Just yourself, God, your thoughts and his voice in your mind?
It’s time to take some of your mind back, some of time time back… Dare I say, it’s time to take some of your LIFE back.
I’m committing more of my time each week then I ever have in my life to get outside the bubble of today’s crazy world, to get alone, to think and pray and write without any distractions. It’s hard, the enemy doesn’t want it to happen, which is all the more reason to ensure it does happen.
I challenge you to do the same.
