Why does everyone try so hard to be everyone but themselves?

Ah yes, social media, it’s great, isn’t it? A perpetual event of mask wearing and story spinning designed to create envy, jealousy, doubt, fear, and discouragement.

I guess it’s not actually intended to do those things, but it’s darn good at it doing it.

The information age is upon us for sure, we are living it in full color. It comes so easily now that we have become calloused to it.

We are desperate to stay relevant and to stay relevant and to stay relevant in this noisy world we behave oddly. We create fake news, fake pictures, and fake happiness, fake fake fake.

Why? Why are we afraid of who we really are? Why are we afraid of the truth?

What every happened to the “own who you are” crowd?

We need more of that, MORE of the “be yourself” kind of energy. We need more of the “older wiser” people teaching “younger inexperienced” people how to discover who they are, embrace who they are and to work hard to become the very best version of who that is. NOT how to become just like the very cool person they follow on Instagram.

Each and every person on this earth is unique. Each blended with a very special recipe to be just who they are, with just the right gifts, experience, and knowledge. What good is it to try so hard to not be that person; to be just like the cool kids?

We need more people to be confident and true to who God made them to be. We need what they have and who they are not a poorly done copy of someone else.

We need them to be them, we need you to be you.?

Embrace who you are, embrace your personality.
