It’s time for men to be men.

It’s time.

It’s past time, way past time.

Time for men to stand up and be men. Time for men to stand firm, stand strong, and be relentless.

Not relentless in control and dominance, but relentless in the pursuit of what’s good and right and true.

Relentless in the pursuit of what it means to be a man.

Relentless in the pursuit of what it means to serve God.
Relentless in the pursuit of what it means to be a father.
Relentless in the pursuit of what it means to be a husband.
Relentless in the pursuit of what it means to be a leader.
Relentless in the pursuit of what it means to serve others.
Relentless in the pursuit of what it means to serve the country.

Relentless in the pursuit of what it means to be a man.

Our society has stopped teaching boys what it means to be a man. We have given weakness and passivity a pass; no, we have given weakness and passivity a freaking gold star.

We have given great big shiny participation awards for mediocre behavior in every single area. We have stopped teaching, even stopped knowing what it means for men to be men. We have created a horrible vacuum.

We have created a vacuum in our homes, schools, and businesses.

A vacuum in the lives of millions of young people.

It’s time for men to get up off their butts and get to work. It’s time to lead.

Again, I want to be clear.

I do not mean it’s time to control, to domineer, or manipulate, but lead.

It starts with authentic leadership of yourself, learning and understanding what it even means to be a man, and what it means to sacrifice self to serve those around you. What it means to be strong when those you lead are weak. What it means to garner and lean into God to find the strength missing in yourself?

“Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, and be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.”
1 Corinthians 16:13-14 ESV

I’ve watched this shift occur in our culture over the last 40 years of my short life. I have watched from the side of the road as this car wreck of culture and manliness happened in slow motion.

I can no longer watch; I must call myself out.

I had chosen to sit by and not take action when I knew better.
I had not led my family, my children, and my wife when I knew better.
I had not led myself when I knew better.
I have not “stood firm” I have not “acted like a man” I have not “been strong” when I should have, and I. Knew. Better.

Yes, I could make compelling excuses as to why my lack of leadership should be excused; those excuses would be good, compelling arguments too, they really would; I know because I have lived the last several years telling myself all the reasons why it’s ok to give myself a pass.

It’s time I’m honest with myself; I accept the truth and take action myself. It’s time I get off the couch and start leading the way God has called me to lead.

It’s not only my time, but it’s your time as well.

It’s time for you to lead yourself, your family, your wife, your company, your life.

It’s time that men start being men again.

It’s time we all stood firm in the faith, we all started acting like men, and we all were strong, and that strength was put to action in and through love.

It’s time to be relentless in our pursuit of what it means to serve God, relentless in our pursuit of what being a man really means.

God has given me a passion to lead, a passion to teach, and a passion to help a growing movement to help men get back to their place again. To help men learn how to grow out of being boys and start being the grown men God called them to be.

Please join me in this movement.

I’ll be launching a new website to inspire and encourage. Please fill out the following form if you’d like to know when it launches and receive updates.

Don’t worry; I’m not into the whole spam thing.
