So many people have told me “Chris you’re just lucky.” So many have said they wish they could have found success easily like me, or wish that it came easy as it did for me, or wish they had the opportunities I?ve had.

Looking out over my favorite city, New York.

Brothers and sisters, you got no clue about my story, and I don’t know yours either.

None of us do. Every single ?overnight success? you read about on the internet took months if not years of darn hard work.

There are NO overnight successes. Every single person on social media with that perfect life you wish you had is messed up and struggles with everyday life JUST LIKE YOU.

We all live in the same world. It?s hard, it?s cruel, and it doesn?t give a rat’s A$$ about you, your goals, your business, your family, or your life.

Yes, it?s true some are born in a better time and place, with more wealth and privilege, or more brains, or whatever other advantages. The reality is, too often that stuff doesn?t matter. People with the best opportunities miss them, and those with nothing rise above it all and make it happen.

I have had hard times, I have struggled with depression, business failures, there have been countless times when I wasn?t sure how I would be able to pay the rent or buy food for my family. I?ve also had great successes, made lots of money, and enjoyed periods of my life with great material blessings.

What I have come to realize is most of that doesn?t matter at all. AT ALL.

It?s how you leverage the time you spend with the people you spend it with that matter. What?s your life worth if you spend all your time money and energy trying to acquire more if you sacrifice your relationships and replace them with shallow hollow acquaintances that ultimately just want something from you.

There are opportunities all around us. Some are hidden in plain sight; others need to be dug out, clean up, maybe polished up a bit and discovered.

They aren?t going to find you though, that actually doesn?t happen, you need to work for it, you need to strive to find it, but trust me, it?s worth it.

Maybe it?s time to go digging.

Inspiration from the Instagram post:

Opportunity is out there, you might have to dig a little to find it, but trust me, it’s there to be found.

#newyork is my favorite city by FAR. I’ve never found anywhere else that comes close, the #people the #energy the #opportunity
