I was under 10 when I started my entrepreneurial pursuits, making deals, looking for opportunities, finding untapped potential.

+   San Francisco, California.

No one has to tell me to go go go. I just do, it’s the way God made me, unquenchable thirst to get something of value and impact accomplished and accomplished right away!

Over the years this has helped me in so many ways, the tenacity to push through when others simply won’t or can’t.

This drive is awesome, I love it, but it has a dark side as well.

This drive, this energy, the energy so many of us entrepreneurs share can be blinding, can warp your sense of values our sense of priorities. We often fall right into the trap of neglecting what we know and say to be our most important things.

With no effort at all, we can slip into the worn patterns of sacrificing what we care about most to the drive we need to success and impact.

It’s so easy to justify too, to feel the sacrifice is just part of the necessary game.

It’s not, it never should be.

There is no need to sacrifice your family, your time, your life to the pursuit of anything. NOTHING is worth it, no amount of success is worth letting go of the people and relationships, the memories, the life experience that should be part of who you are, your story.

You can do both, you can work hard, succeed and make a dent in the world, and you can do it without sacrificing your soul, marriage, and children to the gods of business, money, and success.

It’s not easy, but trust me it CAN be done.

It might be time for you to take that hard look at yourself. It might be time to really evaluate where you spend your time, energy, and money. Is it in line with your values, is it in line with your goals, your priorities, your ethics, morals, and legacy?

You might need to slow up a bit and readjust some things, after all, it’s a long road baby, make sure and enjoy the ride.

Onward,
