I have spent over 20 years as an Entrepreneur, I have had some great successes and some absolute nightmare failures, and through that process I have seen a lot of talk, a lot of people throwing out the hashtags #hustle #hardwork #wontstop and such.

Some days require stillness, some require action. Do not confuse the two.
Some days require stillness, some require action. Do not confuse the two.

It?s funny, you know to succeed in business today, you really do need to work hard, always be hustling, and keep on when other quit. FOR SURE you do. Most won’t? be willing to make the sacrifices needed to succeed and drive through all that.

However, there?s an equally important element that?s virtually always over looked.

Silence, quiet, stillness, meditation, thinking. Making space for mind to wander and think, with no stimulation, no input, no phone calls, no emails, texts, chats, or messages. Time to just process it?s own thoughts.

It?s so freaking important, but so NOT sexy to talk about. It?s the easiest thing to drop when stuff gets crazy, but it?s critical to the process. The human brain is totally incredible, capable of so much more than we often give it credit for, yet we often fail to give it what it needs to the most to solve the most difficult problems.

Time.

Time and space to just work on it?s own. Time where you aren?t really doing anything ?other? than letter your mind and thoughts wander.

Are you finding time to just think? When was the last time you went for a walk with no music, no phone calls, no agenda? When was the last time you spend even 15 min meditating, thinking, pondering, wondering?

Maybe it?s time you slowed down a little to go faster, maybe it?s time you took the time you mind needs to give you it?s very best. Maybe it?s time you made space for stillness in your life.

It might be difficult to admit you need to do this, in fact, I?m certain it will be the first thing you want to let slip, resist this tendency and keep this important process in place, trust me, you?ll not regret it.

Onward,
